The Senior Manager Sourcing and Contracting is responsible for owning and optimizing an Anne Arundel Health System spend category by using extensive cross-functional collaboration and mastery of all total cost of ownership (TCO)/strategic sourcing best practices.
Develop and implement the sourcing strategy process for a variety of categories and moderate-to- high complex projects
Partner with key business stakeholders and leadership to understand and establish category requirements, develop sourcing strategy, while providing synergy in process and savings
Lead Process Improvement activities using LEAN/Management Engineering processes and tools and techniques to improve service for both the Supply Chain department and internal customers
Responsible for leading all sourcing activities, i.e. request for proposal process, negotiating with suppliers, vendor selection, contract creation, baseline and cost savings validation, and strategy execution
Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)
Five years of progressive experience in Healthcare Supply Chain
Strong hands on contracting experience in an acute care/hospital environment
Strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, and negotiations skills
Background in vendor/contract management, value analysis, business case development, leading/facilitating teams, financial analysis, and forging positive customer relationships
Moderate to advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, business case development, and ERP systems
