Mental Health Tech
McDowell is a 28 bed Residential Treatment Center for teen age boys ages 12-18 who could be experiencing mental health, behavioral and/or substance abuse issues.The staff assist the residents in accomplishing their goals by reinforcing proper choices, and promoting healthy problem solving skills. The Mental Health Tech creates a safe environment for residents, provides hope, empowers residents, and teaches new coping skills. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, educational groups and activities of daily living. Qualified applicants must be able to lift up to 40lbs, communicate verbally and in writing. Employees need to be able to work at least two of the three shifts available: 7 am - 3pm ; 3 pm - 11 pm; 11pm - 7 am. Shift differential pay is paid for 2nd. and 3rd shifts.
