Willow Springs Center is looking for 4-5 compassionate and dedicated born leaders to promote to our Lead Therapist position.Â We want to grow and mentor our present staff to leaders of the future.
The purpose of the Lead Therapist position is to compile assessments and treatment plans for patients at Willow Springs Center with a primary diagnosis of a psychiatric disorder.Â They also engage in family, individual and group counseling, and develop and deliver groups of varying types.Â Lead Therapists are required to document interactions within policy requirements and participate in treatment team meetings.Â Lead Therapists may oversee interns or provide supervisor or mentorship to less senior therapists.Â Lead Therapists may develop and deliver training for therapists, mental health technicians, registered nurses or other clinicians.

Holds a lead role in their unit primary care team.Â
Develops continuous improvement goals for the program. May provides oversight, coaching, teaching, observation and feedback to MHT staff as necessary; measured by program adherence (non-clinical groups oversite, program protocols, program schedule, completes program adherence activities as assigned by DCS or ADCS).Â Observes performance of staff members and either makes recommendations to employees or staff supervisors with the goal to improve performance.
Serves as unit trainer for compliance issues.Â
Takes ownership for the level of performance and implementation of skills by staff. Models skills and behaves in a way that demonstrates professionalism and the level of performance expected.Â
Be a part of shift change.Â Is present and available at shift change to understand unit issues, provide consultation and advisement and ensure appropriate resolution and problem solving.Â
Available to cover and intake or session, if needed.Â Acts in the place of staff members within their primary care team in their absence.Â Works collaboratively with other units and Outpatient staff to ensure coverage.
Works with DCS and ADCE to coordinate weekly treatment team meetings. Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and ensures availability and openness to advisement and consultation.
