Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community.Â We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center.Â The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services.Â We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health.Â The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.
Kingwood Pines Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Mental Health Technician. The Mental Health Technician assists the registered nurse in providing direct patient care to psychiatric, chemical dependency patients; to insure safety and provide milieu management including crisis intervention.Â
Key Responsibilities Include:
To provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
To recognize signs and symptoms of chemical dependency disorders and apply/utilize appropriate treatment interventions.
To recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and apply/utilize appropriate treatment interventions.
To insure patient safety.
To assist with milieu management.
To respond to crisis intervention.
To document patient care, implementation of the treatment plan and patientâ€™s response.
Utilizes therapeutic communication skills and maintains professional boundaries with patients and their families.
Demonstrate initiative in maintaining a clean and safe environment for the welfare of patients and coworkers.
