EMERGENCY ROOM TECHNICIAN FT EVENINGS AT MEMORIALC CAMPUS
The Emergency Department Technician performs various patient care activities and non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Provides basic patient care to the patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge to whom they are assigned.
Technical or Vocational training.
EMT trained or Army trained Medical Specialist with one year of experience preferred in Emergency Department but may be other clinical units upon discretion.
Current BLS for health care providers
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge and skills. Ability to use computer driven patient care equipment.
Competent skills reflected in Windows and Word Perfect/ (bilingual- English/Spanish preferred)
Casting and splinting course required
