To administer respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of cardiopulmonary system, under supervision of physician, department director, and by prescription. May advise physician on prescription.
Licensed to practice Respiratory Care by the Texas Department of Health as Respiratory Care Practitioner and national registered by the National Board for Respiratory Therapy.
Completion of all requirements of AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy - Technician level. OR, an equivalent level of education
Experience that has entitled the individual to successfully pass certification examination.
