Responsible for all phases of Laboratory specimen collection handling and distribution as well as all supplementary computer functions. Assists in organization and storage of all Laboratory phlebotomy and office consumables. Participates in report generation/charting and delivery.
Assists in office reception and phlebotomy dispatching duties.
Performs and fulfills all HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) responsibilities as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency disaster.
Minimum: High School or Equivalent
Preferred: Formal Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Training
Minimum: Six months of phlebotomy experience and/or clinical experience rotation as part of a Phlebotomy training program.
Preferred: One year of hospital or physicianï¿½s office-based phlebotomy experience
Minimum: Not required
Preferred: Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification or
National Phlebotomy Certification
