Sterile Processing Educator
Maine Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Educator in Portland. This is a great opportunity to work in a large, fast-paced environment with a close-knit team of motivated technicians who are passionate about their work. The Sterile Processing Educator will be able to create and implement a training program as well as mentor less experienced team members while helping to enhance the skills of experienced team members. This position; develops a schedule for orientation of all new personnel, meets with orientees to regularly assess progress and provide feedback, collaborates with the Staff Development Specialist concerning ongoing education projects for the team, conducts in-services and develops educational experiences, including a list of competencies to assist teams with use of new equipment, development of new skills and advancement along the professional ladder, including attaining certification.
