Abrazo Scottsdale Campus (located at AZ-51 and Bell Road in Phoenix) is a 136-bed full-service acute care community-based hospital which has provided excellent comprehensive medical care to patients in the northeastern region of metro Phoenix for more than 30 years. Abrazo Scottsdale Campus provides specialized services such as an accredited chest pain center, wound care and hyperbaric (high pressure) medicine, advanced orthopedics featuring navigational technology and sports medicine, expanded rehabilitation services, enhanced diagnostic imaging, and dedicated womenï¿½s programs.

Med Lab Scientist II Full Time Nights Scottsdale Campus

Conducts routine tests for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease and performs related duties. Assures that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be able to work under deadlines. Must be able to utilize independent decision making skills in a wide variety of situations. Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities. Computer skills required. Frequent contact with employees, physicians, customers, community individuals and volunteers.

SUPERVISES: May supervise Laboratory Assistants.

Qualifications:

Education Required: Bachelorï¿½s Degree from an approved college or university and/or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent such as military training as defined by 42 CFR 493.1489, or have qualified at the Medical Technologist level by achieving a satisfactory grade on a HHS examination prior to 2/28/92 42 CFR 493.1491. The above meets required criteria as defined by CLIA regulations for High Complexity testing (42 CFR 493.1489 and 42 CFR 493.1491).

Experience Required: 2 years as a medical technologist in acute care facility, OR 1 year as a medical technologist in acute facility and a Master's degree.

License/Certifications Required: Registered with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or CSMLS within 12 months of hire). Equivalency evaluation by ECE, NACES or AICE for non-US trained personnel must be completed within 30 days of hire. Licensure, as required by State.
