Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist

This positon works M-F varying shifts. Weekday and weeekend call rotation.

In this role, the IR Special Procedures Tech provides services to patients and physicians though the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patients. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and coordinating work with all members of the health care team.

• Perform procedures with technical accuracy in a timely manner. Position patients, as required to achieve quality diagnostic images, according to departmental protocol.
• Ensure proper patient identification on all images and complete all Procedural documentation according to departmental policies including proper image marking, Post procedural imaging processing, scheduling, tracking, and accurately entering procedural charges.
• Know procedural appropriate supplies and related charges
• Demonstrates proper sterile technique
• Participate in the orientation and training of new employees and students.
• Participates in the departmental quality assurance and quality improvement plan, following all appropriate protocols.
• Provide appropriate patient care during imaging procedures.
• Maintain rooms and properly operate and care for imaging equipment.
• Communication with patients, families, staff, peers, and supervisor.
• Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner following appropriate radiation safety policies, general safety protocols, infection control standards, and emergency preparedness protocols.

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT
• BLS

Experience:

• 1-3 year IR Tech experience
