Patient Care Technician II, Acute Medical Services, Full Time/Days (12hr)

Position Summary:

The Patient Care Technician II is an unlicensedcaregiver working under the direction of the Registered Nurse.  This position is responsible for supportingthe Acute Medical Unit (Acute Care Service) to maintain smooth, effectivecommunication between healthcare practitioners, departments, patients, andvisitors.   The Patient Care Technician IIposition is accountable for the accurate, timely documentation in the patientmedical record.  Ensures prompt, timelyassistance which contributes to the patient's progress towards discharge.  This role is accountable for patientadmission, transfer, discharge flow processes, and for providing the most basicof patient care.  including datacollection, personal hygiene, vital sign measurement and assistance with activitiesof daily living.
