Independently performs clinical laboratory procedures in all areas of the laboratory, including blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunology and microbiology. These individuals use their expertise to accurately interpret, document, and report out test results to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. They perform quality control testing, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting, along with verifying the analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and reference ranges for test methods.

Credential/Licensure Required:

Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP)
Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP)
Eligibility for certification by a nationally recognized certifying agency

Must be certified or eligible. Must obtain certification within one year of hire.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, human sciences or education qualifications as stated per CLIA requirements (MLS or MLT)

Shifts Available: Full-time, Day’s, PM’s, and Night’s shifts, 8 or 10 hour shifts.
