Spencer Hospital has a full time opening for a dynamic individual to lead our Surgical Services- Operating Room and Central Sterilization departments. Spencer Hospital surgical services is a progressive rural hospital with regional presence. The department has many specialty areas of surgery as well as a higher than average volume of procedures.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Surgical Services department- Operating Room and Central Sterilization.
Carries on continuous analysis, evaluation, and audit of the department as well as strategic planning.
This responsibility includes the following functions: hire, participate in and supervise training and checking, evaluating, and addressing issues through the Positive Performance Policy with staff.
Requirements:
Minimum of five years of recent operating room experience.
BSN.
CNOR preferred.
Two years of leadership experience.
Previous experience with Physician relations.
Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems.
Schedule:
Full time, salaried.
The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department.
