Abrazo Mesa Hospital (located The hospital is located at 5750 E. Baseline Rd.) opening this spring is our sister hospital to Abrazo Central Campus. Abrazo Mesa Hospital will focus on providing emergency room services and less complex inpatient procedures. It will include a 12-bed emergency department, an operating room and eight inpatient rooms, along with additional services. The facility�s emergency department will be open around the clock and staffed by board-certified emergency physicians. Additional services will include surgery, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, pharmacy and other outpatient services in the 32,500 square foot building.

Laboratory Assistant Full Time Night Shift Mesa Campus
Performs routine technical and clerical functions. Performs venipuncture, specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens; may perform CLIA waived laboratory tests. Performs specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens, labels tubes and specimen containers, collects specimens and performs simple tests under supervision. Performs phlebotomist duties as assigned.
May operate simple lab equipment under supervision. Assists pathologists as needed. Prepares solutions, labels tubes and specimen containers,collects specimens and performs simple tests under supervision. Processes anatomic pathology and cytology specimens. Obtains blood specimens for all age groups serviced. Uses, maintains and cleans laboratory equipment and uses protective equipment to protect form exposure to chemical, radiation and infectious hazards. Must be knowledgeable of emergency procedures.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:?High school diploma or equivalent required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:?Ability to complete blood draws independently within six-weeks of hire.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:?6 months of laboratory experience.
