This position serves as an advanced technician for outpatient care settings. This is an open-continuous announcement and will be open for 90 days. Applicants will be screened and selected every two weeks or as needed by the facility. The incumbent performs ongoing patient care duties in an outpatient clinical setting to include: Patient screening Monitoring vital signs Completing clinical reminders Obtaining health history Completing outpatient intake forms, result notes, etc... Applying prevention and management of disruptive behavior techniques (PMDB) Assisting outpatient licensed staff with the delivery of care to patients and patient exams Providing patient education Providing follow up care such as suture removal Administering medications to include injections Other duties as assigned Work Schedule: Various shifts during clinic hours-Monday-Saturday, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Position Description Title/PD#: Intermediate Care Technician Physical Requirements: The work involves long periods of moving about the work unit. Work requires regular and recurring bending, lifting, stooping, stretching, lifting and repositioning patients, or similar activities. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
