Fairview Health Services is looking for a Patient Registration /Surgery Scheduler at the Fairview Ambulatory Surgery Center in Maple Grove, MN. At the Fairview Maple Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center, we are a partnership with University of MN Physicians where you will find more than 20 medical specialties in one convenient location. Our patients have access to primary and specialty care for pediatrics and adults which also includes a cancer center, breast center and the ambulatory surgery center. We are proud to be one of the few centers that have earned the distinction of a Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence in Minnesota.
The Ambulatory Surgery Center has 4 OR rooms and 4 Endoscopic rooms. Our patient satisfaction and employee engagement scores are in the 90 th percentile. This position will report to the Patient Care Supervisor.

Maple Grove Location
The Patient Registration/Surgery Scheduler position at the Fairview Maple Grove Ambulatory Surgery Center is primarily responsible for:
checking in surgical patients
answering phones and preparing charts for surgical cases
serving patients, providers and staff by facilitating access to surgical services, tests and procedures
coordinate the flow of patient activity
performs a variety of scheduling functions relating to routine and complex surgical cases.
data entry of procedural documentation
One year customer service experience in health care OR administrative assistant experience
Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree
Two years scheduling patient appointments and/or registering patient information with knowledge of insurance in a practice management system OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Skills
Working knowledge of electronic medical records and scheduling. Word processing and spreadsheet skills
