JOB SUMMARY: Performs ophthalmic work up for new and return patients independently. Performs basic, intermediate, and advanced ophthalmic exam techniques including specialized testing. Provides leadership and serves as an expert role model in clinical support functions including educating/training others on the skills and knowledge of ophthalmology.

Performs and leads functions that assist faculty, residents and technical staff with daily clinical needs without direction.
Interacts with the patient in a professional manner using AIDET techniques; serves as a role model/leader in patient interactions.
Leads team in maintaining a clean working environment, stocked rooms, equipment, and EOC guidelines.

OPHTHALMOLOGY (ADVANCED): - Demonstrates uppermost levels of competency of ophthalmology in practical applications of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering results without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
CUSTOMER SERVICE - (ADVANCED): - Demonstrates a high level of customer sensitivity and has shown insight into customer business issues. Demonstrates a work ethic where customers display confidence and trust in the service provided. Anticipates, plans for and meets increases in customer needs and service levels.
